De m-audio is een degelijk gebouwd doosje, de meegeleverdere usb kabel is heel erg lang (1,5 meter).
Kabels zitten er goed en stevig in, ik verwacht niet dat ze los kunnen schieten.
Simpeler heb ik een installatie niet meegemaakt.
Op een laptop met windows 10, was het een kwestie van inpluggen. Er was geen installatie nodig.
De poorten waren direct beschikbaar in Ableton, Renoise, Maschine en ouderwetse software van Roland en Korg.
Ik heb er ook een firmware upgrade voor een oude roland groovebox mee uitgevoerd.
De m-audio werkt ook mijn Ipad retina mini 2. De poorten heb ik getest met eenn roland groovebox, ik kon deze sequencen met de apps modstep en beatmaker 2.
De m-audio werkt zelfs op mijn focusrite itrack dock. Dit is een docking station voor de ipad, voor betere input/outputs. De itrack heeft alleen een usb-midi in/uitgang. Door de m-audio heeft deze nu lekker ouderwetse midi plugjes.
Ook niet onbelangrijk, bij verzenden lichten er lampjes op. Deze zijn niet fel en komen door de doorzichtige bovenkapje heen.
Kastje kan ook tegen een stootje.
Er kan ook een hele afstand overbrugt worden.
