Ribbon microphones and dynamic microphone are notorious for their low output, which can be an issue when you want to record softer sounds since most standard audio interface preamps and mixers usually don't have the gain needed to adequately amplify the signal. The Royer dBooster2 takes care of this problem. This 2-channel in-line microphone preamp sits between your mike and mixer (or interface) and can be engaged for either a +12dB boost or a +20dB boost. Best of all, the dBooster2 runs on phantom power which means it doesn't require mains power, and it can also serve as a high-grade DI box for your electric guitar or bass.
