General

Korg's TM-50-GD is a tuner and metronome in one that can be used to practise pitch and rhythm at the same time. It has a large LCD display with adjustable brightness for optimal clarity and a newly-designed needle-type meter that is highly responsive. As well as being easy to use, the tuner is fast and accurate. The Sound Back function is excellent for ear training as it generates a reference tone that's closest to the note being played while showing the difference between the two tones on the display. The integrated stand comes in very handy when using this gold-coloured TM-50.

TM-50 SL: rhythms

The TM-50-GD has 15 built-in rhythms with different time signatures and a tempo that can be adjusted between 30 and 252 BPM, giving you plenty of practise options no matter what style of music you play. The volume is easily adjustable and you can always use headphones if you don't want to make use of the built-in speaker. In addition to the simple beat and tempo controls, there's tap tempo functionality too.

Tuning in thirds

For singers or for those who play in a brass band or orchestra, being able to tune in thirds can come in handy. That's why the TM-50 SL indicates pure major and minor thirds relative to a given pitch. The TM-50 is powered by two AAA batteries and works with the separately-available Korg CM-100L contact microphone which can be handy in noisy environments.

Wrote the following about Korg TM-50 metronome/tuner combo, silver
Zeer performant en veelzijdig toestelletje voor géén geld. Dat je je gitaar kan inpluggen maakt het on-stage beter bruikbaar dan een headstock-tunertje. Ik bestel avast een tweede exemplaar van.
