Korg's KDM-3 is a digital metronome with a classic look. It's easy to use, has comprehensive features and a volume that's powerful enough to be heard even when playing loud instruments. There are numerous different time signatures and rhythms to choose from as well as a range of different sounds. The display shows you various information about the settings while the dual red and green indicators on the top provide a clear visual indication of the tempo. If you don't want anyone else to hear the metronome itself, you can plug in a set of headphones.

micro bovenaan geplaatst worden waardoor de klank in alle richtingen goed hoorbaar is. Hij staat ook erg stabiel en zijn afmetingen zijn discreet. De ritme patronen zijn vrij klassiek maar de klank kan op verschillende weergaves geselecteerd worden waaronder die van een mechanische metronoom, belletje incluis. De klank is regelbaar en kan in de hoogste stand opboksen tegen de piano en de elektrische gitaar. Het rolknopje om de geluidssterkte aan te passen zit wel wat minder toegankelijk op de zijkant maar dat heeft dan weer het voordeel dat het niet per ongeluk bediend wordt. Bovendien is de klank erg helder waardoor hij gewoon beter te volgen is tijdens het spelen. Heel handig zijn de draaiknop voor het tempo (sneller dan een up-down digitale instelling) en de start/stop knop die bovenaan zit. Daardoor gaat eventjes pauzeren om iets te noteren bvb zeer vlot met een korte druk op de goed toegankelijke knop. Bij het terug starten zijn alle instellingen behouden. Enig nadeel is dat hij door zijn vorm minder vlot past in een boekentas. De stemfunctie is op gehoor en de frequenties zijn aanpasbaar. Voor mij minder belangrijk, maar iemand die bvb regelmatig een klavecimbel moet stemmen zal dat zeker appreciëren. Zeer tevreden met de aankoop. Iets duurder maar performanter dan de meeste toestellen en zeker zijn geld waard. Niet teveel toeters en bellen maar alle nodige functies zijn aanwezig en werken perfect. Heel tevreden met de aankoop.
