The Boomwhacker Boomophone is a complete set of eight percussive Boomwhacker tubes with various extra accessories included. The specially-designed XyloTote holds the Boomwhackers in place so you can play it just like a xylophone. Roll the XyloTote up, Boomwhackers and all, place the Octavator caps on the ends and use the included mallets to hit them, and you've got yourself a unique-sounding drum! Naturally, you can also remove the Boomwhackers from the XyloTote and play them individually. Great fun for all ages!

Boomwhackers

Boomwhackers are tuned percussion tubes. These hollow, lightweight, brightly coloured plastic tubes vary in size and each has its own pitch, which is indicated on the tube itself. The high-octave tubes vary in length from 30 to 62 centimetres, while the bass tube is slightly over a metre long. They're very comfortable to hold, and produce a great sound when you strike them against your hand, a table or the floor, for instance. Boomwhackers are sold in a variety of different sets. Anyone can pick up a Boomwhacker and start playing, you don't need any knowledge of rhythms or musical theory to enjoy them.
