More and more Apple products no longer have built-in CD/DVD burners. For example the ultra thin iMac, Macbook Pro with Retina display, MacBook Air or the Mac mini all lack such a device. It might, however, be convenient to be able to burn a CD or DVD. The Apple USB SuperDrive gives you the perfect solution. You can connect this small external CD/DVD burner to your Mac via a single USB cable. The SuperDrive can also play and burn double-layer DVDs and perfectly fits your travelling bag.
The compact USB Superdrive
It doesn't matter where you are, with the Apple USB SuperDrive you can always burn and play CDs and DVDs. This is ideal if you want to watch a film on DVD, if you want to install software or make back ups. The SuperDrive is slightly larger than a CD case, it can be easily stored and takes up limited space on your desk.
One single USB cable
You can easily connect the SuperDrive to your Mac with the built-in USB cable. This USB cable powers the SuperDrive, whether your Mac is plugged or running on its battery. This means that loose adapters won't bother you any more.
