General

Could it be the elegant looks? Or the typically Italian sound that takes you back to that romantic holiday in Venice? For whatever reason, the popularity of the mandolin simply doesn't seem to abate. No wonder Gretsch Guitars has added another high-quality model to its Roots Collection series: the G9350 Park Avenue electro-acoustic F-mandolin. Thanks to a combination of maple and spruce, this f-style mandolin produces a remarkably clear, sparkling and balanced tone that becomes warmer with age. That's no reason not to play it yet, of course - for now, the rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and depth to your tone, providing you with a perfect overall sound that matches the stunning good looks of the mandolin.

Friday 29 January 2016

Gretsch fans can roughly be divided into two groups. On the one hand you have the purists who think the specifications from the 1950s and 1960s - the Gretsch heydays - are beyond dispute.
