General

The Fender Concert Tone series of mandolins offers a wide variety of instruments in different price ranges. This is the concert Tone Mandolin "A" 53S, the most deluxe type-A model they offer. Despite the many professional details, like the solid spruce top and the elegant finish, it remains remarkably affordable. As you've come to expect from the Fender Concert Tone Series, this instrument offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio.

Construction

The solid spruce top gives this mandolin a beautiful shimmering sound, and plenty of projection and volume. Its 21-fret rosewood fretboard and its mahogany sides and back add a pleasant warmth to the overall sound. Furthermore, the dual-action truss rod and height-adjustable bridge, ensure the Concert Tone A 53S Eight vintage-style open geared tuners keep your instrument in tune.

Concert Tone Mandolin “A” 53S: easy on the eyes and the ears

The Fender Concert Tone Mandolin's teardrop-shaped body with elegant f-shaped holes features a very tasteful sunburst finish. Furthermore, the body and neck are decorated with stylish white bindings that accentuate the instrument's shape, as well as additional bindings with a rope motif. Finally, the tailpiece is beautifully engraved and the inlays on the headstock and neck are applied with great care. In short, the "A" 53S isn't easy on the ears, it's a joy to behold as well.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
