Boss mark the beginning of a new age with the release of the RC-600 Loop Station. The ultimate stereo looper, this slab of sonic genius records in 32-bit sound quality and boasts supreme ease of use. The next-gen Boss Loop Station rightfully takes its throne as the most complete and well thought-out looper in the known universe, setting up singer-songwriters, guitarists, multi-instrumentalists, and even beat-boxers with a powerfully creative tool that provides six stereo tracks complete with microphone and instrument inputs and a total recording time of no-less-than 13 hours.
The RC-600 Loop Station: Supreme Ease of Use
Loopers can get pretty complex pretty quickly when it comes to the controls, but here, Boss present the optimal solution: nine freely assignable footswitches that present a silky-smooth workflow. External footswitches or expression pedals can be added on with little fuss to expand the level of control even further, and lined up along the back panel, you'll find every flavour of port you could ever wish for: from stereo inputs and outputs to MIDI in and out, XLR microphone inputs complete with phantom power, and a USB port for linking up to the Boss Tone Studio.
The Effects
Colour in loops and add some custom flair to the performance using the near-endless bank of effects that the RC-600 has on offer. 49 Input effects and 53 Track effects have been loaded in, four of which can be used at the same time before being saved to the internal memory. The clever detail here is that all of the time-based effects, like delay, can be automatically synchronised to the set tempo of the built-in beats or the loop tempo. Besides your more bread-and-butter effects, this Boss-curated library also has a few surprises up its sleeve, including a bass simulator and more DJ-esque effects like Beat Scatter and Vinyl Flick.
Build the Groove
Doing far more than just serving as a metronome, the onboard beats of the RC-600 include an immense range of different patterns and kits. The 200 patterns span pop, rock, jazz, latin, and more; four variations can be selected per pattern; and there are intros, outros, and automatic fills that can be added to really boost the real-time dynamics. As if that wasn't enough, Boss have also included the option to load in your own SMF beats using the RC Rhythm Converter software, so that custom beats can be constructed using the sixteen built-in drum kits and you can weave original rhythms with everything from light percussion to electronic samples.

Super fijne looper, er kunnen meerdere instrumenten worden aangesloten. IK gebruik hem als audio interface richting PC en mengpaneel. de reden dat dit de looper voor mij is zijn de 6 kanalen waar je op ieder kanaal meerdere lagen kunt bouwen. Ik heb een enkele keer mee moeten maken dat hij vastliep (laatste firmware aanwezig).
Geen 5 sterren vanwege de sporadische vastloper, en omdat de menu's complex zijn en het moeilijk is om hem in te stellen (zoals altijd bij BOSS).
En une semaine, que de bonnes surprises : qualité du matériel en lui même, confort de travail et richesse des possibilités : tout est paramétrable / switchable, assignable, personnalisable à souhait. C’est assez bluffant. Toutes les mémoires sont complètement rebootables de fond en comble en matière d’effets, de mixage, de méthode de travail (les modes de pédales sont très bien pensées)
Côté prise en main, très sincèrement après une bonne heure à lire le mode d’emploi et une après midi à pianoter dessus, tester les paramètres, on s’enfonce petit à petit dans le ventre de la bestiole et on a juste envie d’y rester. Les possibilités sont infinies. Cet outil est en train de décupler mes possibilités et va faciliter mes projets à venir.
Je recommande vivement pour tout compositeur et musicien de scène voulant évoluer seul ou à deux tout en ayant une richesse de son et d’originalité.
Gek dat er niet een uitgebriede beschrijving is van alle opties, sommige toch essentieel zoals appart volume van de ritme sectie en de gitaar instellen, gelukkig zeer veel you tube filmpjes maar dat kost veel tijd, dus Boss: maak een volledige beschrijving in een document dan gaat dit product van een 9 naar een 10
Je moet wel een paar uur de tijd nemen om door de opties te lopen en alle instellingen te zetten zoals jij ze wil. Maar eens je er even mee bezig bent is het leuk om de settings aan te passen.
Een enorm fijn product. Alles zit erop en eraan. Heel veel mogelijkheden. Wel wat tijd kwijt met het uitvogelen hoe het werkt maar dat is het dubbel en dwars waard.
Leuk om het traditionele muziekspel een nieuwe dimensie te geven met deze Boss RC 600 Looper.

Veel mogelijkheden en daardoor weer wat ingewikkeld. Ik ben liever muzikant dan programmeur... En mis wel essentiële mogelijkheden die mijn Vox VDL1 wel heeft heeft zoals pitch controle met het pedaal.
