You simply plug this small device into an earthed socket that is near your equipment, and part of the same electrical group. If you do, then any equipment within a range of 10 metres will be protected from any lightning strikes. Of course, even the mains themselves can be the problem, as they can also cause spikes in the current - luckily, the lightning guard will absorb these just as well. This product can absorb 10 heavy spikes, and reacts with blinding speed - its response time is less than a nanosecond! - Als je de stroom aansluit gaat er een hele felle, blauwe LED branden.
Deze gaat pas uit als je de stroom weer afsluit. Bij mij zit hij in een L-rack onder mijn mixer, waardoor het niet echt opvalt. Maar als je hem ergens zichtbaar hebt liggen kan dit wel storend zijn. Daarom één ster minder.
