General
The ligature is a crucial part of your tenor saxophone since it keeps the reed securely in place. This Rico RAS1LN ligature from D'Addario does so utilising its two-screw design and four-point system to guarantee equal tension and a freely-vibrating reed. The impact that using a proper ligature has on the sound of any saxophone is often underestimated, but the truth is that a solid reed-binder offers enhanced sound and more playing comfort. This ligature is suitable for most tenor saxophones.
