General

This left-handed Squier Standard Stratocaster gives you the beloved Stratocaster sound at a very reasonable price. Its comfortably slender neck is perfect for beginner guitarists while the output of its alnico pickups is also sure to appeal to more advanced players. Whether you're looking for a good starter's guitar or an aptly priced backup instrument, the Squier Standard Stratocaster is an excellent choice.

Construction:

The full-size body of this Squier Stratocaster is made of agathis, of which there is plenty in Asia, keeping the cost of this high-quality guitar down. Agathis has tonal properties that are comparable to those of mahogany. This guitar is equipped with a two-point floating tremolo vibrato unit that is incredibly stable and which holds its tuning excellently. Additionally, the maple neck features a 22-fret laurel fretboard that gives this guitar a slightly warmer sound than a version with a maple fretboard would.

Full-size Body & Strat Sounds:

Both the sound and specifications of this Squier are nothing short of impressive. Thanks to the 5-way pickup switch you can alternate between a selection of sounds, from the warm tone of the neck pickup to the bright bite of the bridge pickup. Naturally with the out-of-phase position that creates the famously nasal Strat quack. The alnico pickups ensure a delightful punch that is also convincing on stage. Thanks to its full-size body, this Stratocaster is the perfect subject to various upgrades and adaptations that were originally intended for Fender's Strat.

Squier Standard Stratocaster LH Antique Burst
Wrote the following about Squier Standard Stratocaster LH Antique Burst
