General

Despite the fact that guitar playing is a predominantly right-handed affair, Fender always makes left-handed versions of its popular models. This Sunburst '65 Stratocaster is a gorgeous left-handed guitar from the 2012 American Vintage series. When you're looking for the feel of a genuine classic Strat, this is the one you want. It is a completely authentic reproduction that features all the right materials, construction methods and dimensions of the original. The result is a 1965 Stratocaster replica with great sound, feel and looks without having to pay a hefty price.

Details of the American Vintage '65 Stratocaster LH

The 1965 Stratocaster is characterised by its thicker, yet more comfortable C-profile neck. Contrary to previous models, its rosewood fretboard is just several millimetres thick and follows the radius. The position markers have grown bigger and are made of mother-of-pearl. The American Vintage '65 Stratocaster Left Handed is equipped with Grey Bottom single coils that have an authentic sound. These pickups are wound with enamel-coated wire, by original specifications. Other vintage-accurate details include a lightweight alder body, an 11-hole white pickguard and Pat.Pend. stamped steel bridge saddles. The guitar features Fender's nitrocellulose Flash Coat lacquer in the right colour and pattern Sunburst. It comes with a period-correct black case and replica case candy.

American Vintage series: more accurate than ever before

Along with the American Standard series, Fender decided to give the 2012 American Vintage series a massive update. It has been expanded with new, iconic '50s and '60s models that have a minute vintage accuracy. To get to this point, the guitar giant tracked down and studied specs and details of numerous original vintage guitars. Fender even brushed off the tools of the period to make the result as authentic as possible. Every model has been fitted with new pickups, especially wound after the specifications and sound of the vintage reference models. There's a good reason that these new models represent Fender's famed, 60-year long history in music.
