Packing unbelievable bang for your buck, the left-handed edition of the Yamaha Pacifica 112 JL electric guitar bears all of the renowned build quality, high-end playability and big, flexible sound that the Pacifica Series is known for. Since it's been around for a decade already, the Pacifica 112 J is the most popular member of the series and has an immense reputation for serving as the solid yet affordable playing partner for guitarists of all levels.
The Yamaha Pacifica 112 JL YNS
The foundation of the Pacifica 112JL is formed by an alder body - a feature that's almost unheard of when it comes to guitars in this price range. Alder is not just comfortably lightweight but shapes a balanced tone characterised by full and tight basses, rich mids, and sweet trebles. The bolt-on maple neck comes finished with a rosewood fretboard and 22 frets and has been given a thin profile that feels snug and controlled in the fret hand. Meanwhile, a set of smooth yet stable machine heads offer secure tuning and the vintage-style tremolo bridge provides full, whammy-bar based freedom of expression.
HSS Pickup Configuration
Loaded with an HSS pickup configuration, the Yamaha Pacifica 112 JL sets up left-handed guitarists with a beefy humbucker at the bridge and a single-coil pickup in the middle and at the neck. While the humbucker delivers the meaty and raw high-output demanded by heavier playing styles like straight-up rock and metal, the pair of single-coils offer a more tight, vintage output with a bright and warm sparkling edge. Combined with the five-way selector switch and volume and tone controls, it's this dream-team of a pickup configuration that gives the 112 JL its flexible character, meaning it can bend to the will of any guitarist, no matter their preferred playing style.
