Metallica fan or not, it's not hard to see that this Kirk Hammett Signature is worth its weight in gold. The body of this premium model is made of alder for full, well-balanced resonance and a strong foundation sound, while the extra-slim neck runs deep down the body for a neck-thru-body construction that lends the LTD KH-602 noticeably longer sustain and more direct tone. And as befits a signature guitar, ESP also include a matching hard case.
The KH-602: Bone-Breaking Power
As any seasoned guitarist will have already noticed the LTD KG-602 LH comes mounted with a pair of active Bonebreaker signature humbuckers made by EMG. By combining the ceramic and Alnico 5 core magnets of the pickups with a number of careful tweaks to the preamp, the KH-BBs are able to dish out cream-filled rhythms as well as razor-sharp solos. And then there's the Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo bridge, which not only excels at keeping the tuning stable but can be used for mind-broadening tone bends.
