General

Thanks to its close association with The Beatles, the Casino is one of Epiphone's most iconic models. While it looks a lot like a classic ES-335, the Casino is a classic in its own right, able to deliver distinctive and clear, ringing tone that can handle being pushed into overdrive when needed. The five-ply maple top, back and sides are supported by basswood bracing and the face has been mounted with two Epiphone PRO-P90 pickups, each with dedicated volume and tone controls. While the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and vintage-style Trapeze tailpiece take care of stable tuning, the modern 12 inch fretboard radius and the SlimTaper 60s C profile of the mahogany neck support snug and comfortable playability. If you're looking for a semi-acoustic guitar with an instantly recognisable look, sound and feel, then the Epiphone Casino is a safe bet on a straight-up classic. This is the left-handed edition.

Epiphone Original Collection Casino LH Vintage Sunburst Left-Handed Semi-Acoustic Guitar
Wrote the following about Epiphone Original Collection Casino LH Vintage Sunburst Left-Handed Semi-Acoustic Guitar
As an acoustic player I’ve never really given electric guitars the time of day and those I have had in the past have been sold on very quickly. But here was a chance to order a lefty Casino with an approx 16 weeks wait time. Not that I needed the guitar in any hurry but the way epiphone have recently dropped production of a lot of their 335 type guitars I thought I should place the order and see what happens? It’s quite possible epiphone may only be producing these.lefty’s for a limited period...who knows? Try finding one now...it really isn’t so easy. Certainly not LH. So, the price was good and with a Bax discount code on offer, I decided to pull the trigger and I’m really glad I did. I received the guitar about a month after placing the order and wow..she is gorgeous! The guitar is really nicely finished (a few little blemishes around the f holes) but that’s me being really picky. She sounds great in amplified but there is a bit of a hum when plugged into an amp. I think this might be typical of P90’s but it also might be me? Again, electric isn’t really my thing but being a Beatles and Paul Weller fan this was a guitar I felt I wanted to own and now I do. Read the reviews and watch some YouTube demos then consider what is on offer here? You are buying a legendary guitar at a really great price and believe me the build quality for a Chinese made guitar is really great. My niggle about the f holes is extremely minor and doesn’t degrade the guitar in any way. The electronics must be where the saving is made here but then if your really fussy and want to improve the guitar further then you can always upgrade these items but putting that aside if you really want a hollow body at an affordable price I can honestly say this is tremendous value for money which is really hard to beat. If you’re a lefty all I can suggest is try to get one now before epiphone might pull the plug again....who knows. Finally, on this occasion, delivery by UPS was spot on and the notifications were so much better than before (my last order was a nightmare) so well done to UPS here. Other than this, Bax have been amazing as always and to save any confusion I did not have to pay any additional VAT or Customs charges for delivery to the UK which Bax were able to confirm and clarify before I placed the order so I’m really pleased I can continue to buy from Bax without further concern. Thank to the team at Bax for another great deal.
