General

As a left-handed bass player you don't get to choose from a lot of different bass guitars. And of the select few that apply, few are truly affordable. This is why G&L provide the world of left-handed bass playing with a left-handed Tribute L-2000. This electric bass guitar features an ash body and a maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard, giving this L-2000 its full, clear sound. This bass is made in Indonesia and features the exact same hardware, pickups and electronics as its American siblings.

Tribute L-2000: passive/active Tri-tone circuit

You might have wondered what all those buttons were for. Well, they allow you to create your ideal bass sound. Like most bass guitars, the L-2000 features volume, treble and bass controls. However, there are also three special mini switches that allow you to alternate between the two pickups as well as choose between a passive or an active mode or an active mode plus treble boost. Lastly, there's a series/parallel switch for additional tonal variation.

G&L Magnetic Field Design pickups

The Tribute L-2000 is equipped with two specially designed Magnetic Field Design humbucker pickups, which are very quiet in the sense that they don't have that annoying 50/60Hz hum - making them ideal for recording purposes. Moreover, the magnets are adjustable in height so that you can the output per string for an optimally balanced volume. These MFD pickups produce a clear, airy sound with a properly high output, making them perfect for both tight cleans and fat distortion.

Saddle Lock bridge for better tonal transference

The bridge of the Tribute L-2000 is a mark of true craftsmanship. The L-2000's Saddle Lock bridge is designed to transfer the vibrations of the strings to the body in the best way possible. It was designed to optimally transfer the vibrations of the strings to the body thanks to a small screw on its side that allows you to lock the saddles into the bridge, making them vibrate as a whole and thus greatly improve resonance and sustain.
