Fender has equipped the American Standard Jazz Bass LH with Custom Shop '60s pickups. These two alnico 5 single coils provide that classic Jazz Bass sound, but with a dash more output for punchier mids and basses. Both pickups have their own volume control and the master tone will filter out the trebles. You can create a wide range of bass sounds by blending the two volumes, from a fierce bright tone, that'll cut through the mix excellently, to a warm, sultry jazz sound.
