General
The Cameleon Flood 14/3 is a valuable addition to the Cameleon series by Showtec. This series is characterised by energy-efficient performances at an affordable price. The Cameleon Flood 14/3 is equipped with 14 RGB LEDs of 3 watts that come together to produce a total light yield of 2,010 lux at 2 metres. An IP65 classification indicates that the 14/3 can be used indoors as well as outdoors. This unit is extremely well suited for uplighting buildings, but won't look out of place at concert or event venues either!
Cameleon Flood 14/3: a versatile armature
The excellent colour mixing is made possible by the close mounting of differently coloured LEDs. This makes it seem that all the colours come from one source. The light yield of the different colours is set up to allow for optimal colour mixing. The housing of this unit is all-weatherproof, so that the armature can stay out of doors at all times, making it ideal for lighting buildings or artworks.
Operating the 14/3
The Cameleon Flood 14/3 can be used in various operating modes. You can minutely control the armature via the well-known DMX protocol. The 14/3 can also operate in stand-alone mode, however. In this mode it can produce a single constant colour, as well as a few pre-programmed chases. All of this can be controlled via the LCD display with the accompanying buttons at the back of the armature.
