It was only a matter of time before Showtec would add a LED model to the Phantom range. These LED Phantom spots are unbelievably small, but produce an impressive light yield. They are an asset for every light show, come at a fair price and take up only little space.
Under the hood of the Phantom 25
The Phantom 25 is an ideal moving head for both fixed and mobile installations. It has enough features for a flexible performance. 9 colours and 9 gobos may sound like standard options, but due to the LED technology they are more versatile than you'd think. Smooth dimming curves and ultra-fast stroboscope functions are easy to attain. The Phantom 25 features effects such as gobo shake, gobo flow and split colour: the ideal means to add an extra touch to your light show.
Light source of the LED moving head
As the name suggests, the Phantom 25 is equipped with a 25 Watt LED light source: the equivalent of a 250 Watt halogen lamp. Thanks to the LED technology, which doesn't require a large power source or cooling system, the Phantom 25 is small, compact, cool and quiet as a whisper.

De behuizing voelt wel wat fragiel aan, maar als hij ergens staat, doet hij zijn dingetje. De aansluitingen zitten goed vast en zelfs de voeding is door te lussen.
De verschillende kleuren en gobo's zijn prima, mijn vorige movinghead kon de gobo's ook draaien, dit gebruikte ik veel, maar is bij deze niet mogelijk. Alleen kunnen de gobo's schudden.
Ik zou wel graag een andere indeling van de kanalen zien, nu moet je steeds schakelen tussen 1-8 en 9-16, omdat ik een Scanmaster MK2 heb, met maar 2x 8 kanalen is dat wel lastig. (vandaar 4 sterren)
Maar desalniettemin is het een praktische, kleine, lichte movinghead voor de all-round drive-in show.
Zeker voor deze prijs een erg goede aankoop!
Ik gebruik ze altijd samen in een master-slave setting waarbij de master op geluid z'n progamma draait.
ben er zeer tevreden over, lees in de andere reviews over ventilator geluiden, maar deze hoor je zeker niet met de muziek aan.
Voor dit geld een super stoere en volwassen lichtshow, mooie kleuren en op muziek maken de lampen er een geweldige show van.
Wat ik jammer vind is dat er geen power knop op zit, aan en uit is stekker erin en eruit.
Ik heb er zo'n DAP flightcase bij waar ze pressies inpassen, ook heel fijn.
Heel handzaam, lekker licht , een aanrader dus !
Ik heb er nu 2 staan, en ze werken perfect.
Zeker in combinatie met een DMX controller.

- Ventilatoren maken wel wat lawaai.
Kortom, een super movinghead!
De licht opbrengst verbaasde me echt enorm (vergelijkbaar met 250 watt gasontlading).
Verder heeft deze movinghead hele mooie gobo's en kleuren.
Ik gebruik een set van 2 van deze headjes aangestuurd door de dashlight 512 interface. Zo komen de headjes echt optimaal tot hun recht.
verder vindt ik de bewegingen heel vloeiend.
het enige nadeel kan zijn dat de ventilatoren nogal veel geluid produceren maar voor een drive in show is dit niet hinderlijk.
kortom: een top headje voor relatief weinig geld!
De service van Bax-shop.nl was ook weer heel goed. Ik ben ze gaan ophalen in de showroom en kreeg meteen een mooie demonstratie.
