American DJ once again bring us a spectacular light effect to transport the dance floor back to the heyday of dance music. The Rotobeam 4 is a retro helicopter effect with four LED lights in red, green, blue and white. Its housing is transparent, which increases its range.
Rotobeam 4: usage
The Rotobeam can run several built-in programs or be controlled via the separately available American DJ UC-IR remote control. You can place the Rotobeam upright or fly it from a truss or ceiling with the included bracket. The Rotobeam has a continuous rotation of 360 degrees. Its internal microphone triggers the Rotobeam's light effects, for a truly stand-alone operation. Thanks to the LEDs, it consumes very little power and produces very little heat allowing it to operate for hours on end without duty cycles. It is the ideal light effect for any club, disco or party.

Prima levering
Wel jammer dat het alleen geluid is en dat er geen automatisch programma inzit.
Het geluid moet echt luid staan, anders werkt de sound mode niet.. zeer jammer!
Maar is wel goed voor mensen die willen starten en die een degelijk en mooi licht effect willen!
Zeker een aanrader alleen moet je rekening houden dat je de muziek zeer luid moet zetten!
Ik heb ook de infrarood afstandsbediening bij besteld en dit is ook erg handig zo kan je wat wisselen en toch het effect een beetje aanpassen
Is goed voor een beginnende dj
Met de ADJ UC-IR remonte kun je wat functies zoals strobe, aan/uit bedienen. Verdere functies weken niet of nauwelijks.
Ook reageren andere fixtures op de afstandsbediening, zelfs die van Showtec.
Omdat deze fixture alleen geluidsgestuurd werkt had ik verwacht dat hij het geluid goed op zou pakken.
Helaas dus niet, het geluid moet best hard staan.
Het effect zelf is gewoon mooi. Mooie lichtbundels schieten een heel eind de ruimte in. Door de jelly behuizing word een licht wash-effect gecreëerd .De jelly behuizing opzich is al mooi om naar te kijken.
De fixture is degelijk van bouw en nagenoeg muisstil.
Ik denk dat ik voor deze fixture een switchpack aan ga schaffen (Showtec RP 405 mk2). Op deze wijze kan ik de Rotobeam 4 in m'n DMX-lijn integreren en dus bedienen.
Al met al ben ik deze ADJ ROTOBEAM 4 zeker gaan waarderen. En heeft de fixture een vaste plaats in mijn opstelling. De 3 sterren ipv 5 zijn voor de mindere bedieningsmogelijkheden.
Kortom, erg mooi lichteffect met onbegrijpelijk matige bedieningsmogelijkheden.
Naast alle programeerbare DMX lichteffecten springen deze Rotobeams, die simpel aan en uit te zetten zijn middels een optionele 220 switch, er helemaal uit. Met wat rook erbij wordt de ruimte gevuld met swingende lichten over vloer en plafond. Er komt een behoorlijke lichtstraal uit iedere spot, die ook nog eens met 1 beweging in iedere richting te verstellen is.
Je kunt de Rotobeam hangen in je trust, je kunt ze op de voorkant van je trust of speakerstand plaatsen middels een optionele bracket of, zoals ik ze heb geplaatst boven op iedere topkast middels een M12 bout links en rechts van de DJ Booth.
Wel even de optionele afstandbediening van nog geen 5 euro erbij bestellen, want hiermee zet je de Rotobeam 4 in verschillende standen waaronder o.a. langzaam draaien, reageren op de muziek,of zijn interne programma's.
Mooi en direct inzetbaar effect zonder poespas voor relatief weinig geld!
