For most audio technicians, 87 is much more than just a number. This WA87 condenser microphone by Warm Audio is based on one of the most popular studio mics ever made. Unlike most modern condenser microphones, the WA87 has an output transformer that is responsible for subtle saturation and a light boost in the high-mid frequency. This mic guarantees the kind of in-your-face vocal recordings commonly heard in pop and rock productions, but its unique audio characteristics make suitable for mic-ing up acoustic instruments such as acoustic guitars and kits. With three different polar patterns, a high-pass filter, and an attenuation pad, the WA87 can deliver out-of-this-world quality at a down-to-earth price!
