General

The Shure BETA 27 is a large-diaphragm microphone with a super-cardioid pickup pattern. It's suitable for capturing a wide variety of instruments thanks to its two switches: one is a low cut filter, which effectively prevents background noise from being captured, and the other is a -15 dB attenuator for making the mic less sensitive when capturing louder instruments such as drums.
