In a nutshell, the Neumann M 149 boasts unsurpassed sound and can be set up in countless different ways thanks to its multi-pattern design. Loaded with the same capsule as the German brand's legendary U 47 and M 49 microphones, this high-end, universal studio microphone brings the vintage sound of jazz records from the fifties up to 21st century standards without sacrificing any of that old-school charm and, unlike most other tube microphones, it can handle high sound pressure levels and, at the same time, capture extremely quiet sources. From drums to Spanish guitars, the Neumann M 149 is able to capture every sonic nuance.
