Having worked in commercial radio, I'm used to Neumann U47/U87, TLM103 and AKG414 as regulars for the studios. I came across the Devine BM100 whilst looking for a budget condenser microphone for a school/student radio service and I have to say I am impressed! A foam windguard would cost £25 for some branded condenser microphones; and this comes with a decent shock-mount.
Excellent unidirection polar pattern and a good frequency response.
Overall I would recommend the Devine BM100 for any low budget situations.

I had been using a basic dynamic karaoke mic for my vocal recordings (i'm not a singer, my brother is, but I have to sing on the demo tracks before they go to my brother for him to follow), the difference is amazing. As i said I'm not really a singer or vocalist, but the pick up is amazing, you could hardly hear my voice with the dynamic mic and it sounded flat and bassy, but with this it's loud and clear and sharper and fuller. So just for that it gets a thumbs up.

For the 11 euros I paid for it, what do I even say?

Pros: The Price - It's a decent quality aluminim build - The Price - Sounds pretty decent - THE PRICE - Comes packed quite well in the box, won't have issues with it arriving broken or unusable - THE. PRICE.

Cons: Definitely has some cons, but at this price should you even care? Hits miles above anything at this price point so it would be ridiculous to compare it to anything else.

However ridiculous is my middle name: Compared to Devine's own BM-600, the BM-100 has a slightly more tinny tinge to it and responds a little worse to the low end, considering its capsule is also quite a fair bit smaller than the 600, but it's entirely usable for light voice-over recording tasks and possibly even as a bright mic for a guitar cabinet.

In short: Try it. It's absolutely worth a shot, for that PRIIIIIICE you can't exactly go wrong, you'll find a place for this mic in your kit eventually. Hell, buy a few of them and use them as drum mics if so inclined. I give this a solid 5/5 just on the deal alone, a very respectful 3/5 on the sound, and a 4/5 in build quality.

Solide microfoon, goed gebouwd.
