General

There may not be a microphone that can give you a full and warm sound with sufficient saturation as well as transparency with a lightning-fast transient response, but this Antelope Audio Edge Strip bundle makes just about anything possible. The Edge modelling microphone and the Discrete MP preamplifier are both true chameleons in their own right. Add in the software that is also included as part of this bundle and you can make the mic and preamp sound like just about any vintage mic model you can think of. The Discrete MP preamp is equipped with a USB port so that you can control it via the DAW software on your computer.

Properties

The two preamplifers in the Discrete MP are the same as those found in the Discrete 4 and Discrete 8 audio interfaces. They're extremely transparent and offer the same sound quality as preamps found on larger consoles. The Discrete MP has two inputs while the Edge microphone has two outputs. This allows you to determine the polar pattern you want to use in your recordings via your DAW., even after the recording has been made.
