General

Antelope Audio paves the way to outstanding, authentic modelling of renowned hardware with the Edge modelling microphone. The 3D modelling environment it uses is called Accusonic, which is a result of the brand's highly-acclaimed FPGA technology. The Edge mic is named after what's known as 'edge-terminated' design (where the capsule is located at the edge instead of in the centre). This design ensures an audio reproduction that sounds as realistic as an original legendary classic mic. This mic was developed initially for the Antelope Audio Discrete audio interfaces.

Accusonic: authentic, realistic audio

Antelope distinguishes itself from the rest by offering real-time FPGA modelling of classic EQs and compressors. Other brands are equipped with DSP, but Antelope has FPGA, which offers many more possibilities, including accurate modelling hardware. Microphone modelling was the next logical step and Accusonic makes it possible! Simply choose your favourite microphone and optionally a preamp. You'll have complete control over the proximity effect, off-axis response and directional characteristics during recording or in post-production!
