General

The Yamaha PSR-EW310 is a brand-new keyboard that's comparable to the PSR-E373 but actually has a bigger keyboard with 76 keys. This means that if you're into playing piano parts, you're thoughtfully provided with nice bit of extra space. In comparison to the 61 keys of the E373 this may not look like much, but the extra octave and a half can actually make a huge difference. And then there's the price, which seems almost impossibly low and has us wondering if Yamaha is basically setting the new standard when it comes to value for money here. All in all, if you're interested in an affordable keyboard packed with piano-based possibilities, we kindly suggest you don't look past the EW310.

The Sound of the Yamaha PSR-EW310

Whichever way you look at it, the main priority of your new keyboard should be its sound. Luckily, the PSR-EW310 is all set in this regard as it can serve up no less than 622 sounds to play with, as well as eleven Super Articulation Lite Voices: a set of higher-class acoustic sound profiles you won't quickly find on budget instruments. As if that wasn't enough yet, you're also getting an effects section so you can get your creative juices flowing and, instead of guitar-based distortion samples, the EW-310 actually offers a genuine distortion effect; something you'll immediately notice when you play a power chord for instance.

More Fun Stuff!

The PSR-EW310 wouldn't be a real keyboard if it didn't include a bunch of fun rhythms, and with a polyphony of 48, you needn't worry about being cut down for playing too many notes at once.

Yamaha PSR-EW310 76-Note Keyboard
Wrote the following about Yamaha PSR-EW310 76-Note Keyboard
