General

Casio's WK series has been around for decades, and with regards to technology, a lot has happened in that time. Naturally, the sounds and features of the current series are entirely up-to-date. The WK-6600 - a worthy member of the WK series - caters to all your musical needs and offers great quality for a very reasonable price.

Casio WK-6600 Keyboard with 76 Keys

The first thing you'll notice about this keyboard are its 76 full-size keys, which offer you all the freedom you need to fully express yourself. Thanks to its wide keyboard, the WK-6600 is ideal for piano or keyboard lessons, and allows for great flexibility in your (home) performances. A split function enables you to use that width to its full extent, as you can pick a different sound for each keyboard section. Your choices are virtually endless - with 700 instruments and 210 backing rhythms, the WK-6600 offers more than enough building blocks for your creative exploits.

Mixer and sequencer

As it is equipped with a 32-channel mixer, the WK-6600 gives you full control over backing instruments and your own parts. It also features a 17-channel sequencer, which means you're able to record up to seventeen different layers of sound, creating comprehensive arrangements. As such, the Casio keyboard doubles as a multi-track recorder.

Practical

Despite its sizeable keyboard, the WK-6600 weighs only seven kilos, so you can easily move it around at home or take it with you in a keyboard bag. At a power consumption of only 18 watts, it's quite energy-efficient and even switches off automatically after several hours of inactivity. Naturally, you can connect a pair of headphones and a sustain pedal to the WK-6600.

Casio WK-6600 76-Note Keyboard
Wrote the following about Casio WK-6600 76-Note Keyboard
I got myself a casio Ctk 6000 for my 60th birthday it is a fantastic keyboard and loved playing and saving my music on it. For my 70th birthday I decided to upgrade to the wk 6600 very similar and a bonus of 76 keys. I enquired with customer service who helped me as I was worried about the sd cards not being compatable, they reassured me that everything was compatible with both keyboards. I love it is is perfect and I don't have to bother wit instructions as they are both more or less the same for input, recording ect, ect. Wk6600 is perfect for me I will upgrade again when I reach 80, thanks.

Musikmesse 2016: Yamaha Keyboards with Cutting Edge Features

Wednesday 6 April 2016 By Lizanne

The fundamental concept of a keyboard doesn't really need any improvement. To add to their already successful formula, however, Yamaha has added some innovative features in the new PSR-E453 and PSR-EW400.
