General

Whether it's pianos, horns, strings, guitars, and drums, early learners are curious about all these different instruments. The Casio SA-76 44-note mini keyboard has them all and more; in fact, it has 100 different sounds in total. As well as the ones mentioned above, it also has fun sound effects and instruments from other lands. You can play songs as well and use the built-in rhythms to practice tempo and timing. There are traditional styles from near and far as well as modern pop rhythms available.

Features of the Casio SA-76

This keyboard is ideal for young players who are just getting started, which is why Casio has made a very simple, logical user interface. The keys are designed for small fingers, and are sufficient for playing the ten built-in practice songs. It also features built-in speakers as well as a headphone socket. It can be powered by batteries (sold separately) or by plugging in the included adapter. Leuk speelgoed om lekker op de bank wat mee te jammen. Jammergenoeg wel een paar kleinigheden... Sommige exemplaren hebben een nogal los zittende volume slider, mijn batterij dekseltje valt er af onder het spelen en bij niet alle exemplaren voelen de toetsen het zelfde. Die van mij voel(d)en goed, daarom heb ik hem gehouden ondanks het batterij klepje, maar toen ik net 10 minuten buiten in de zon zat voelde ik dat de toetsen veel minder weerstand kregen en wat gingen klikken. Nu is mijn middenste C permanent apart en klikt hij. Het is geen groot probleem, maar je hoort hem klikken en hij voelt anders. En ik weet nu dat je hem echt niet mee naar buiten mag nemen, waar ik hem voor gekocht had. Dus dat is wel een beetje balen.

Maar als cadeautje voor een kind dat misschien toetsen wil leren zeer geschikt. De geluidskwaliteit verbaasde me enorm voor het geld. Niet iets wat je mee neemt de studio in natuurlijk, maar zeker prima. Hij heeft ook wat 8 bit en vintage synth geluiden die doen denken aan de oude Casio speelgoed keyboardjes. Hij heeft trouwens geen transpose knop, maar als je een basgitaar selecteert transposed hij automatisch 2 octaven omlaag. (Jammergenoeg heb je dus niet echt lage noten voor de Piano...)
