General

Your favourite T-shirt or jeans gain in comfortable wearing and looks over time. A guitar that has been (ab)used for years has also been scarred and perfectly played in. However, if you're looking for an original worn-down Fender, be prepared to open your wallet and open it wide. For this exact reason, Fender started their Road Worn series. This Fender Road Worn '50s Telecaster offers the sound, playability and authentic looks of a real fifties Tele, without the need to take out a second mortgage.

Fender Road Worn '50s Telecaster Blonde: vintage features

A distinctive feature of the Road Worn series is the finish of the guitars. This '50s Telecaster underwent a special treatment to artificially age its body, neck and hardware, providing not only the comfortable played-in feel but also the coveted looks of a Tele that's been on the road for years. This Blonde edition has an ash body with beautiful grain that is visible through the thin nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck consists of one-piece maple and features 21 Dunlop 6105 frets for a vintage look with modern, supple playability.

Fender Tex Mex pickups

The Fender Road Worn '50s Telecaster is equipped with a set of powerful Tex Mex pickups. These alnico V single-coils offer the rich tonal character of vintage pickups with a little more output, making them sound more powerful and warm, with distinctively sparkling trebles. This guitar has a volume and tone control, plus a three-position pickup switch that allows you to choose from the fierce bridge pickup, the sweet neck pickup or the twangy combination of both. From sparkling chicken-pickin' cleans to rough distortion, this Tele performs exceptionally well in any genre.
