General

Apple presents the iPad mini Retina 3, the successor to the iPad mini Retina. While this tablet does have a Retina screen, it's not the same as that of its predecessor but rather a sleeker version with less air between the layers that make up the screen for overall better quality. This version of the iPad mini 3 is also equipped with Touch ID, a fingerprint identifier that you can use to lock your device and to make purchases. Furthermore, this tablet features a 64-bit A7 chip with great computing capacity which is combined with low power usage to provide a longer batter lifespan.

Apple iPad mini 3 Wi-Fi + 4G 16 GB Silver: compact all-rounder

Tablets like this iPad can replace laptops and are even easier to transport thanks to their small design. Plus, models such as this one have 4G support so you can access the internet anywhere, which is certainly a plus when you use it for live performances. Speaking of performing live, you can enjoy using a number of different music apps available for the iPad that provide amp modelling, virtual instruments and even apps that can be used to create full-fledged compositions!

New standard with iOS 8

The iPad mini 3 comes with the iOS 8 operating system. The operating system was designed to work seamlessly with the powerful A7 processor, fast wireless technology, and the impressive Retina screen. There are a number of new functions such as Continuity, which makes it easy to continue with a project on another device. You can also save all kinds of documents online on the iCloud Drive as well as share films, books, music and apps with up to six other devices (Family Sharing). A number of new and improved apps also come with the device, from email and internet, to video chat and navigation, to an iBook reader and a calendar. Of course, there are also countless other free apps that you can download from the App Store.
