Ultimate Ears earphones are used by many artists, and with good reason: this market leader's in-ear system ensures an audio experience like no other! Of course, these in-ears are great for both on-stage and off-stage applications.

Ultimate Ears UE900 in-ears: balanced drivers

The Ultimate Ears UE900 in-ears offer considerable headroom thanks to their quad-armature design - two low-frequency drivers, one mid driver and one high-frequency driver provide an exceptionally detailed sound image. The earbuds fit comfortably in your ears and stay securely in place. Tuck the cords behind your ears, and you'll be able to move around freely. To ensure an optimal fit, the UE900 in-ears come with five pairs of silicone ear tips (XXS, XS, S, M, L) and three pairs of Comply Foam ear tips (S, M, L).

Cables

These high-grade earphones are supplied in a practical, sturdy storage box that keeps them safe and sound during transport. They come with two detachable cables - one with an integrated remote and mic, one without - which is particularly convenient if you intend to use them both on and off the stage. If you use the UE900 earphones to casually listen to the music on your phone, the remote allows you to control a number of functions. Comfort and sublime audio quality go hand in hand with the UE900 in-ears!

Nu al geruime tijd in bezit. 1 a 2 jaar.

Sound:
Het geluid is fenomenaal,
Het laag is aanwezig dankzij de 2 drivers maar ook weer niet heel sterk. Het zit er lekker tussenin. Mensen omschrijven het ook wel als warm. Ook erg afhankelijk van hoe de dopjes in je oor zitten en welke plugs je gebruikt. De midden en hoge drivers produceren een erg fijn en helder geluid. Ik was er echt door verbaast en het stereo beeld is geweldig. Instrumenten die dichterbij staan of juist verder weg hoor je erg goed.

universa fit:
Je krijgt een boel oordopjes erbij en ik gebruik uiteindelijk de grootste groene plugs. Ze sluiten fijn af en komt het lage geluid ten goede.
Het nadeel van deze plugs zijn dat je ze niet snel in kan doen zoals met mijn shures wel kan. Je zult ze eerst moeten kneden en dan in doen, en daarna je hand ertegen aanhouden zodat ze tijd hebben om uit te zetten. Het geluid daarna is super maar het kost je meer tijd. Om die reden gebruik ik ze niet als ik geluid aan het mixen ben. Daarnaast zijn ze erg gevoelig, als je moet laggen of je mond erg open trekt deuken de dopjes in en hoor je het geluid vervromen. Daarnaast zitten ze ook niet super fijn in mijn oren. Door de hoekige randen voelt het soms scherp aan, met name als je je kaken aan het bewegen bent.

Overall erg fijne doppies die ik gebruik om van muziek te genieten of mij van mijn omgeving af te sluiten!.

Gekocht en vergeleken met Shure SE535...

Qua comfort en soepelheid kabel scoort Ultimate Ears UE900 beter, de kabel van Shure is stijver en veroorzaakt daardoor meer bijgeluiden als je beweegt...

Vooral met de bijgeleverde Comply FOAM dopjes in vele formaten, sluiten ze zeer goed af voor omgevingsgeluid en blijven ze bij mij zeer goed en comfortabel in het oor zitten.

Het geluid van de Ultimate Ears is beter gebalanceerd dan bij Shure SE535. bij die laatste overheerst bas en mid het hoog... Maar Shure kan wel meer volume aan terwijl UE900 sneller begint te overmoduleren op bijvoorbeeld een kickdrum... Beter geluid dan Shure SE535 dus, zolang je niet al te luid gaat.

Al bij al klinkt geen van beide zo goed als een degelijke hoofdtelefoon, vandaar 4 sterren.
Verder zeer goed afgewerkte en complete in-ears met een hele reeks dopjes in alle formaten en dubbel.

Voordeel bij Shure is wel dat je de dopjes waar je uiteindelijk voor kiest, makkelijk kan bijbestellen... Op termijn een praktische voordeel. Bij UE900 worden er sowieso al wel dubbels bijgeleverd voor ieder formaat.

Misschien kan BAX-shop eens kijken of vooral de FOAM dopjes voor UE900 apart verkrijgbaar zijn...
