De Paiste Rude 14 inch Sound Edge hihat produceert een buitengewoon helder en rauw geluid. Zoals het een RUDE-bekken betaamt, voelt deze ruw afgewerkte hihat zich helemaal op zijn plaats in een rock-, metal- of punk-drumset. De Paiste Rude sound edge hi-hat 14 inch is dan ook in de wieg gelegd voor luide tot zeer luide bekken-ritmes. Zijn chick-geluid (het sluiten van de bekkens) is sterk en doordringend. Tot slot: 'Sound Edge' wil zeggen dat het onderbekken gegolfd is. Dit is om te voorkomen dat de twee bekkens vacuüm trekken wanneer ze plat op elkaar komen bij het sluiten van de hi-hat.

RUDE-cimbalen
De RUDE-reeks is een van de meest gebruikte bekken-series voor rock, metal, punk en verwante genres. Paiste ontwikkelde de cimbalen eind jaren '70 voor de toen opkomende punk- en metal-muziek. Ze zijn handgemaakt, van het hoge kwaliteit CuSn8 Bronze, en hebben een ruwe afwerking. De RUDE-cymbals geven drummers een uitstekend gereedschap om ruig gitaarwerk te ondersteunen met een genadeloos rauwe en krachtige bekken-sound.
