General

Meinl designed the 14-inch Mb8 Medium Hi-hats to deliver some brighter and lighter tones and to offer an articulate and short chick sound, making them excellently suited for styles such as jazz, fusion and blues. Their dynamic sound and medium sustain are highly popular amongst orchestras and percussion groups, that often use them as effects cymbals.

The Mb8 series perfect shape and sound.

The Mb8 series cymbals are made of B8 bronze, which consists of 92% copper and 8% tin with trace amounts of silver. Both the top and bottom cymbals are manufactured through a computerised process, allowing Meinl to perfect their shape and sound. Furthermore, Mb8 cymbals feature a brilliant finish. This doesn't just look good, but it also further enhances the brightness of the sound.
