The closed, dynamic Beyerdynamic T-51p HIFI headphones are the successor of the renowned T-50ps. They have been based on Tesla technology, ensuring an extremely high-power sound. With renewed, improved drivers, the T-51ps offer excellent sound quality.
T-51p: drivers
Compared to their predecessor, the T-51ps contain new drivers that are based on a neodymium magnet ring. In the driver, a magnetic field is created that is many times more powerful than that of standard headphones. At the same time, the diaphragm ensures an accurate frequency response and a transparent sound without distortion.
High quality combined with elegant looks
The shimmering Beyerdynamic logo on the earpieces clearly contrasts with the brushed metal earpieces. Compared to the cable of the T-50ps, these headphones feature a more stable, well-finished one. The soft champagne tones and metal construction give the headphones an elegant look and ensure that they stand out from the mass of plastic, often expensive headphones.

Blijft goed op je hoofd staan, en wordt ook niet snel oncomfortabel. Isolatie is vrij goed, waardoor je het geluid niet al te luid hoeft te zetten, en storende achtergrondgeluiden genoeg gefilterd worden. De kabel is niet enorm dik (maar voelt wel relatief kwalitatief aan), en geeft gelukkig ook geen wrijvingsgeluiden door. Ook de verdere constructie voelt degelijk aan.
Opbergen in het draagtasje gaat vrij makkelijk: er is ook wat ruimte over voor eventueel een kleine draagbare dac/versterker als je de manuals eruit gooit. Tasje heeft ongeveer de grootte van een draagtas voor cd's: ik vind dat deze vorm het makkelijk maakt om deze in een tas te stoppen.
Grootste minpunten - zou 5 sterren krijgen als dit ook nog aangepakt werd:
-geen afneembarevervangbare kabel
-bij buitengebruik door de open constructie van de hoofdband soms wat windgeruis
-zou nog kleiner op te bergen zijn als je niet enkel de cups kan platleggen, maar ook nog eens opvouwen.
