Even though the ear pads that come with Shure's SRH550DJ are very durable, they are not indestructible and can wear or become damaged during intensive use. You can keep on using them in that condition, but the true DJ wants everything to be top notch. The Shure HPAEC550 ear pads are replacement ear pads for the Shure SRH550DJ headphones. After fitting them, your headphones will again feel like they were supposed to.
