Meinl HD3 Sonic Energy Harmonic Art Handpan

The HD3 handpan is part of the Sonic Energy series from Meinl. This 21.5-inch diameter handpan is made entirely by hand in Colombia and is one of six handsets within the Sonic Energy range. Each is crafted to deliver its own particular mood and the HD3 is tuned to D#, G, A#, C, D, D#, F and G. A common problem with handpans is that they can lose their tuning over time. This can happen if, for example, it gets dented or is simply played and played until a note-basin becomes misshapen. Since they need to be returned to the manufacturer to get re-tuned, you can sometimes be without your instrument for a while. The Meinl Sonic Energy hand pans are made from a special type of steel to prevent this and ensure that the tuning remains stable.
