General

Featuring a strong fibreglass frame and a hand-selected buffalo hide batter head finished with a Tree of Life design, the Meinl HOD15-TOL 15 inch Hoop Drum boasts authentic warmth and power as well as an authentic, Native American inspired look. The head has been stretched across the frame before being tied in place by a web of laces to support a comfortable grip and traditional playing technique, and to complete the package, this drum comes including a wooden beater with a leather-covered head.

The Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a symbol of rebirth. In winter, deciduous trees shed their leaves, leaving them looking dead and lifeless. But as soon as spring returns, new buds burst to life, signalling new beginnings.

Wonderful, light drum, powerful sound. The tone isn't as deep as I'm used to, but it resonates better than other drums I've used. The beautiful design is just a bonus. Absolutely thrilled with it.
