The Gretsch 1883 is back! This stylish, 61cm-high bar stool has an authentic western look, and its brown faux-leather seat is adorned with the Gretsch 1883 logo. A 1-inch thick frame made of chrome-plated steel ensures you're seated securely, and rubber feet guarantee that the bar stool doesn't slip or leave marks on your floor. In elkaar zetten was eenvoudig, ik had vooraf op youtube wel even een unboxing filmpje gekeken ;-)
Voor de montage is wat kracht nodig. De poten moeten iets uit elkaar getrokken/gebogen worden om goed bij de ring te passen. Het vastzetten van de schroeven doe je natuurlijk met eigen gereedschap en niet met het bijgeleverde (hoewel dat ook best zou moeten kunnen). De handleiding is echt wel helder m.u.v. de 4 meegeleverde rubbers, maar enig logisch denkwerk helpt je zeker.
De kruk is vrij hard, maar dat is alleen maar prettig. De ring is eveneens prettig, maar vooral met schoenen aan. De kruk ziet er mooi uit en schittert niet zoals de zwarte. Geen plastic uiterlijk. Draaien gaat prima en de kruk is lekker stevig. Voor mijn lengte (184) zeker niet te laag.
Dan: de rubberpootje schijnen zacht en kwetsbaar omdat de randjes van de poten scherp zijn. Als je dat weet, doe je even een ringetje eronder en probleem opgelost.
Overall dus een prima kruk, mits je er wat werk aan verricht. Enig zoekwerk op het net helpt ook enorm als je er niet uitkomt want er zijn voldoende montagevideo's beschikbaar. Ik snap de klagers dan ook niet zo eerlijk gezegd.
Geen aanrader dus.
Kussen is behoorlijk hard, montage gedoe want slechte handleiding, de poten moeten met enig geweld uit elkaar gebogen worden om te passen, montagemateriaal is slecht (draaide op de hand een moer dol op een bout), het draaien van het zitgedeelde gaat stroef en er schilfert verf van het plateau waar het kussen op vastgemaakt moet worden. Ik ben blij dat ik m in elkaar heb zitten want iets is beter dan niets. Ik vind het echt geen aanrader eerlijk gezegd!
De 2 sterren is voor de looks, niet voor de kwaliteit van het geheel :(
