On a cold evening in March, 1968, Jimi Hendrix performed in the Field House Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. A young Seymour Duncan had met Jimi earlier that day at Xavier University and given him a set of pickups that he had made especially for him as a gift. Roger Mayer installed them in Jimi's guitar and the rest is history. That evening marked the beginning of Seymour Duncan's legacy.

Authentic sound

The inverted Alnico 5 magnets are designed to give you a sound that comes as close to Hendrix as possible. The sound is similar to what you would get by turning your guitar upside down and stringing it for a left-handed player just like Hendrix used to do.
