Kitted out for the neck or rhythm position of a solid-bodied electric guitar, the PAF-style Gibson 490R Modern Classic humbucker has an 8 kOhm output. While this dual coil has been directly based on the legendary Patent Applied For Humbucker, it boasts a little bit more high-mid presence, giving you boosted, mix-slicing tone. The wax-potted finish of this Gibson-designed classic efficiently counters microphonic squeal, while the four-wire setup supports parallel, series or slipped switching.
