If the machine heads of your electric guitar or steel-string acoustic guitar could do with an upgrade or replacement, then you're sure to find what you need in this department.
The Best Machine Heads for Electric and Acoustic Guitars
While most of the machine heads in this range are compatible with both electric and steel-string acoustic guitars, there are a few things you'll want to pay attention to. First off, your new set of tuners needs to come in the same configuration as your current tuners (e.g. 6-in-line or 3x3, so three on each side of the headstock). In addition, the holes in the headstock need to match the shaft diameter of the machine heads. Most modern machine heads have a 10mm shaft diameter, while the shafts of older tuners are usually 8mm in diameter. Then there's the mounting, where it's important that the mounting screws or integrated pins are in the same place. If you're not sure what you need, then don't hesitate to reach out for advice.
