Last year, Roland showed off the Blues Cube amplifiers and the Eric Johnson Tone Capsule. At the 2016 Musikmesse, they've introduced the limited edition Kirk Fletcher Ultimate Blues Tone Capsule.
Roland have captured the sound of jazz-blues-fusion guitarist Robben Ford in a new Tone Capsule for the Roland Blues Cube guitar amplifier. There's no need to take our word for it though, or even Roland's word for that matter. Robben Ford himself had the following to say: "I've been playing through tube amplifiers all my life. So how close we got to that sound, you know, to me is quite phenomenal. To think that Roland has come up with something that is as convincing as this is pretty impressive."
At NAMM 2016, German amp manufacturer Hughes & Kettner presents two new Tubemeister lunchbox amps. The smaller version is called the Tubemeister Deluxe 20, and compared to its 18W predecessor, it has a few new features up its sleeve that are particularly handy for recordings, both at home and in the studio. Its bigger sibling, the 40-watt Tubemeister Deluxe 40, is a completely new guitar amp head, and features the same modern upgrades.
Buy the GrandMeister Deluxe 40 Tube Guitar Amp Head between 1st December 2018 and 31st January 2019 and Hughes & Kettner will give you the versatile FSM 432 MKIII MIDI board footswitch for free!
