General

Conceived by the creative boffins at Eventide Audio, Third Man Hardware and with the help of Jack White, the Knife Drop is a darker-than-dark sub-octave pedal complete with synth effects on the side. By putting sub-octave fuzz and a monophonic synth in a blender and hitting the on switch, this pedal adds a sinister under-belly to your guitar sound, giving your riffs a devastatingly raw and spine-tingling edge. This stompbox has been designed for musicians who aren't afraid to step over the boundaries and experiment with more intense forms of distortion - and that intensity is only boosted by the inclusion of stereo inputs and outputs.

The Eventide Knife Drop: Dark Textures

The Knife Drop combines three signals: the input signal of your instrument, an analogue synthesizer, and an octave layer that can be controlled via the Octaves footswitch. The ADSR-style envelope filter, complete with Attack, Resonance and Cutoff pots hands you detailed control over the output and, by placing the filter before or after the distortion, you can discover entire new textural landscapes. For even deeper control over the supplied parameters, there's even space for hooking up an expression pedal (not included).
