Carcosa is a fictional city created by writer Ambrose Bierce in the short story 'An Inhabitant of Carcosa' (1886). Later, Robert W. Chambers used it in his collection of short horror stories entitled 'The King in Yellow' (1895), in which he describes Carcosa as a mysterious, possibly even cursed city. The DOD Carcosa Fuzz is designed to recreate the abstract sound of this spooky town by creating a portal to an alternate fuzz universe, offering effects that are sure to surpass your wildest dreams. From a classic fuzz to complete and utter abstraction, this pedal offers you the works. To make your Carcosa experience complete, the top of this stompbox is adorned with an expressive drawing of 'The King in Yellow' himself!
The Carcosa Fuzz: The King in Yellow
The Carcosa Fuzz works well with both clean and overdriven guitar amps as well as bass guitars. It can produce masses of sound pressure, which means it's guaranteed to cut through the heaviest mixes. The sound remains well-defined and articulated - even while playing chords - and using the fitted controls, you can determine just how insane you want the fuzz effect to be. The Carcos is also true bypass, so your signal will always remain intact even if you're not using the effect. 1 van de meest veelzijdige fuzzes die ik heb geprobeerd.
Gaat van een raspende overdrive tot full on stonerrock, naar piepende en krakende gated fuzz, met een oorverdovend volume en een veelzijdige toonregeling.
Voor bassisten, in de Demhe-stand blijft al je laag mooi intact.
En, hij werkt goed samen met andere pedalen.
Vervangt alles wat ik ooit had (en dat was veel). En zomaar voor heel weinig geld.

Met de Before-knop stel je de benodigde gain in.
Met de After-knop bepaal je het type fuzz geluid, dus vintage of modern. Draai je deze knop voorbij 12uur dan krijg je een geluid waarbij het lijkt of de batterij van het pedal op is.
Met de kleine schakelaar kan je bepaalde frequenties een extra boost geven, wat handig is al je wisselt tussen humbuckers of single coils.
Conclusie: een een zeer goede Fuzz die een divers fuzz geluid kan produceren. Super, zeker gezien zijn prijs.
