General

The Ovation CS24P-NBM (Nutmeg Burled Maple) is an electro-acoustic guitar from the reasonably priced yet remarkably high-quality Celebrity Standard series. To be precise, the CS24P-NBM is part of the Celebrity Standard Plus line, which means is it equipped with abalone inlays on the fingerboard and around the sound hole, as well as a striking, exotic-looking top - in this case, made of a beautiful burled maple in the shade Nutmeg.Thanks to the familiar Roundback body, made of synthetic composite Lyrachord, the guitar produces the characteristically clear and pervading Ovation sound.

CS24P-NBM: amplification and playing comfort

Ovation guitars are particularly suitable for use on stage. The specially designed feedback-reducing body of the CS24P-NBM - which has a pleasant Mid-Depth size - houses a preamplifier and a piezo pickup, which send out a powerful signal once you connect the guitar to a mixer or audio interface. A built-in 3-band equalizer allows you to optimally adjust the timbre to your tastes and to the acoustics of the room you're playing in. The smooth neck of the CS24P-NBM, finally, completes the pleasurable playing experience.

Ovation guitars stand out thanks to their impressive sustain, volume and projection. They are the result of Ovation's devotion to perfecting the acoustic construction of a guitar. The Roundback design and the lightweight, rugged composite Lyrachord play an important role. In Ovation's famous electro-acoustic models, for instance - which already featured a pickup/preamp system back in the 1970s - the roundback construction reduces feedback to a minimum.

De gitaar werd netjes en perfect verpakt thuis afgeleverd de dag volgend op de bestelling.

Ze heeft een mooie afwerking en ziet er ook mooi uit.

Enkel de manier waarop ze werd afgesteld en geleverd vond ik niet kunnen voor een gitaar van 425 euro, ook al komt ze uit China.

De 1ste en 2de snaar waren roestig, geen enkele snaar stond op spanning maar stonden gewoon ligt aangedraaid. De Chinese batterij die in de gitaar zat was helemaal leeg. Na het stemmen was er fretbuzz te horen om dat de trussrod niet op de juiste spanning stond.

Is deze gitaar wel ooit afgesteld en getest geweest in de fabriek?

Bax music heeft dit echter rechtgezet door een nieuwe batterij en een nieuw setje snaren op te sturen.

Ik heb de gitaar opnieuw besnaard, niet met het setje AGS03 van Fazley die me was toegestuurd, maar met een setje custom light 11 snaren M175 van Martin. Na het afstellen en stemmen klink en speelt de gitaar als een zonnetje, zoweel met als zonder versterking.

Is dus een mooie en degelijke gitaar indien ze juist afgesteld zou worden geleverd 5 sterren mag krijgen.

In de staat waarin ik ze heb ontvangen kan ik niet hoger dan 3 gaan.

Très belle guitare, parfaite pour mon souhait de reprendre la guitare après quelques années - mon premier achat par internet d'une guitare et sur ce site et très satisfait de la qualité du produit, du prix très raisonnable et de la livraison rapide et dans les temps. Après quelques jours d'utilisation manche très agréable et qualité sonore super avec et sans ampli. A recommender.
