General

The beautifully designed Ovation CS24P-4Q is an electro-acoustic western guitar that feels right at home on stage as well as in your living room. The CS24P-4Q is part of Ovation's Celebrity Standard Plus series and, as such, it not only has a characteristic Roundback body, but a distinctive top as well - in this case, made of a chic Quilted Maple, which has a 3D-like look. To complete its gorgeous appearance, the fingerboard and top of the electro-acoustic guitar are adorned with abalone decorations.

CS24P-4Q: amplified or acoustic

Even the most affordable Ovation guitar is equipped with a rugged Lyrachord body, which has been tried and tested and produces a remarkably balanced, open and clear sound. Once you start amplifying the guitar, you'll notice that it is almost insensitive to feedback and produces an excellent output for your mixer or audio interface. The CS24P-4Q is fitted with an OP-4BT preamplifier, including 3-band tone control so you can optimally adjust the timbre of the instrument. You can use the built-in tuner to tune the steel-string guitar to perfection.

Ovation guitars stand out thanks to their impressive sustain, volume and projection. They are the result of Ovation's devotion to perfecting the acoustic construction of a guitar. The Roundback design and the lightweight, rugged composite Lyrachord play an important role. In Ovation's famous electro-acoustic models, for instance - which already featured a pickup/preamp system back in the 1970s - the roundback construction reduces feedback to a minimum.

In januari kocht ik de Ovation CC24S-4 Celebrity Natural bij Bax Shop. Deze is vergelijkbaar met de Ovation CS24P-4Q Celebrity. Wat een sound.! Schitterend afgewerkt en een waar sieraad op het podium. Mooie klank als rithm guitar en voor vrijwel elk genre muziek bruikbaar. Een prima aanvulling naast mijn acoustische Sada 770 Luthier uit 1970 !!! Met een fantastisch bridge element en pré-amp met gain en 3 bands EQ. Maar ook tevens 'n ingebouwde Tuner, dus altijd perfect getuned. En voor zo'n prijs.! Onlangs besloot ik er een koffer bij te kopen. Levertijd helaas 17 weken..!!! Da's véél te lang. Dus heeft Maikel van Bax Shop mij een prima alternatief aangeboden. Helaas bleek mijn mid depth bowl Ovation er niet in te passen. Maar zoals Bax Shop het betaamd, geen punt, we zoeken naar een oplossing. En dat is gebeurd. Ik krijg nu de SKB 17 koffer waar mijn Ovation perfect in past. Grote klasse Bax Shop.
