The Ovation CD24-5 (Black) is a black Standard-model electro-acoustic western guitar from the Celebrity series. Guitars from the Celebrity series are very reasonably priced, but offer a number of high-quality features nonetheless. This CS24-5, for instance, has the same famous Roundback body as more expensive Ovation models. The back of this carefully designed body is not made of wood, but of a synthetic composite called Lyrachord. Combined with the solid wooden top of the guitar, it produces a clear, pervading sound.
