If you're looking for a western guitar for live use on stage, Ovation is the go-to brand. Ovation instruments are equipped with a special Roundback body, which not only lends them great power, clarity and ruggedness, but also makes them insensitive to feedback. The Ovation CE44-1 is part of the Celebrity Elite series and, as such, it features a beautiful top - in this case made of solid spruce with a warm Sunburst finish - fitted with upper bout sound holes. The electro-acoustic western guitar produces a powerful output when it's connected to a mixer and is available for a very reasonable price.
The sound of the CE44-1
As seasoned guitarists are well aware, a solid spruce top, such as that of the CE44-1, ensures a noticeably rich and full-bodied tone. The large and small sound holes in the upper bout of the guitar increase the transparency of the trebles and make the bass tones sound more focused. Add the beneficial tonal characteristics of the Roundback body and it's apparent that this Ovation CE44-1 Celebrity Elite Sunburst is a force to be reckoned with. The smooth neck of the electro-acoustic western guitar, which offers no fewer than 24 frets for the high E string, augments your overall playing experience even more.

Ovation guitars stand out thanks to their impressive sustain, volume and projection. They are the result of Ovation's devotion to perfecting the acoustic construction of a guitar. The Roundback design and the lightweight, rugged composite Lyrachord play an important role. In Ovation's famous electro-acoustic models, for instance - which already featured a pickup/preamp system back in the 1970s - the roundback construction reduces feedback to a minimum.
